Local Campus Students
This assignment will be presented in Weeks 3 through 7 as assigned by your instructor.

Each student will choose a week in which they will lead their assigned group in an interactive demonstration of group. Each group will meet for 1.5 hours. Each group leader will be responsible for the following:

Identify a leadership skill you would like to demonstrate.

Design a group session plan, according to a specific type of group. The group can be a task, work, or psychoeducational group.

Demonstrate group leadership skills through facilitation of your designed group session. Complete the following in your demonstration:

Demonstrate your ability to lead the group through communicating clearly, working with others, answering questions appropriately, expressing feelings, and observing and responding to group dynamics.
Communicate with the group through using proper verbal communication, visual aids, activities or exercises, Microsoft® PowerPoint®, video, or any other appropriate means of communication.
Demonstrate your ability to bring the session to a close within the specified time frame.
Note: As a leader, you might be extremely active or less active. You may facilitate most of the talking or have the class respond to the instructions or ideas you put forth. Be creative and use your unique talents and abilities.

Write a 175- to 350-word reflection identifying the qualities, skills, and styles you utilized as the group leader to aid in your facilitation. Describe how you developed and maintained appropriate boundaries and used self-disclosure appropriately. As well as discuss your ability to lead the group through communicating clearly, working with others, answering questions appropriately, expressing feelings, and observing and responding to group dynamics. Note how you communicate with the group through using proper verbal communication, visual aids, activities or exercises, and if you were able to bring the session to a close within the specified time frame.
