You must include summary, quotation, and paraphrase in your essay.

You must use both of the assigned readings from Week 11, and one other course text from the list below. You are welcome to incorporate your own opinion, but your answer must focus on evidence from the course readings.

Rubric

Content (/10): Does the paper offer a thoughtful and interesting analysis of the question posed? Is there evidence that the student has read the assigned readings closely and accurately? Does the student’s position reflect an appropriate depth of attention to both the texts and the question?

Style (/5): Does this paper show a sound and effective incorporation of the lessons of the course? Does the student do what the question requires? Is MLA used correctly and appropriately?

Mechanics (/5): Does the paper use language/terminology that reflects the course content? Is it presented in a way that addresses the expectations of the assignment? While there may be some spelling and other errors, has the student made an effort to correct their work? Most importantly, does the paper have a sound structure?
