In this assignment, students will apply simple regression and multiple regression techniques using SPSS. The data file Personality will be used in the practice demonstrations for both correlation (bivariate analysis) and multiple regression (multivariate analysis) techniques.

Download the data file named Personality and load it into SPSS.

Save the SPSS output file with your name_PersonalityOutput, eg. LeonardHuggins_PersonalityOutput.

Complete the practice exercises in Chapters 6B and 7B of the Meyers, Gamst, and Guarino (2013) text using SPSS for both simple regression and multiple regression techniques.

Write a 1,050- to 1,400-word paper that includes the following:

Assess the similarities and differences between simple correlation regression (bivariate analysis) and multiple regression (multivariate analysis) techniques.
Replicate the major tables for simple correlation regression and after each of the primary tables explain (from your own understanding) the primary results that are shown in certain columns that lead to the interpretation of test results and the decisions to reject or failure to reject (i.e., retain or accept) the null hypotheses. Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses or limitations of the model.
Replicate the major tables for multiple regression and after each of the primary tables explain (from your own understanding) the primary results that are shown in certain table columns that lead to the interpretation of the test results and the decision to reject or failure to reject (i.e., retain or accept) the null hypotheses. Evaluate the strengths and weaknesses or limitations of the model.
Include the most pertinent graphical representations to display the data (beyond tables) with a brief explanation of why the graphics are the most appropriate selection.
Draw conclusions for both the simple correlation regression analysis and the multiple regression analysis.
