Non-Governmental Organizations

After browsing the internet, identify at least three not-for-profit organizations online (such as United Cerebral Palsy Foundation, The Red Cross, National Association for Mental Illness).

For each of the three organizations that you identified, address the following:

Briefly describe the mission statement.

Assess and demonstrate whether or not the organizations address an important community need or needs. Use specific examples from the websites of the organizations that you chose.

Explain how grant funding would help the three organizations you identified meet the needs of the communities that they serve.

Discuss why it is important for an organization, such as an organization like one that you researched, to understand its relationship to the community. Your post should be at least 300–350 words in length.
