Ideology Guidelines

GOVT 2304 Essay Topic: Ideology Guidelines: Be sure to follow all formatting guidelines provided in the syllabus. Your final work product must have a cover page with a word count, ​an essay that is 3-4 pages in length​ ​and a works cited page​. ​The minimum writing requirement ​is two full pages in your own words​ (without cited material) and the minimum research requirement is ​two scholarly sources​.​ If the minimum expectations are not met, the assignment will be marked incomplete. Be sure to provide a proper citation in MLA or APA format for all works consulted in the body of the essay and on a separate works cited page. Essay Prompts:

● Compare and contrast the ways in which one of the main ideologies (i.e. liberalism, socialism, conservatism, etc) has changed from its classical origins to the contemporary forms it takes.

● To what extent has the selected ideology transformed itself? Can one still call it (for example) socialism?

● In examining these questions, you should be able to conclude whether there is a core of that school of thought which survives and gives it lasting meaning.
