Create a 10-15 slide PowerPoint presentation that you could deliver to your colleagues highlighting effective SEI strategies while being mindful of cultural influences on learning. Choose 5-7 SEI strategies that could be used in a classroom with students for whom English is an additional language as well as English-only students to promote language and content. How could these strategies be more effective if instructors were to take into account some of the theoretical language acquisition principles mentioned in your required reading?

Include presenter’s notes, a title slide, in-text citations, and a reference slide that contains at least three sources from the required readings or your research.

While APA format is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and in-text citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

Hello students, Your final assignment is a power point presentation.  You are presenting effective SEI strategies to a group of colleagues.  Your presentation must be a minimum of 10 slides.  You are allowed 1 title slide and 1 reference slide.  There are two important areas to address when creating this power point:  First, you are discussing 5-7 different SEI strategies.  Second, for each strategy, you need to connect it to the language acquisition theories found in Chapter 4 (p. 139) of your Textbook (Cognitive vs. Naturalist).  For creating slides, remember, less words is more effective for conveying your point.  Your slides should not be sentences of content, but rather highlight your discussion.  The details of the slides go on the slide notes.  Please let me know if you have any questions.
