Research three published research articles: one quantitative research study, one qualitative research study, and one mixed methods research study. Each of the three studies must have been published in a peer-reviewed journal.

Write a paper in which you analyze each study based on the questions to consider within the Material: Literature Review Guide.

RES 722 A WEEK 1 Evaluating Published Research Problems

Locate two research studies in your discipline or your field of study–one study must use a qualitative method and one study must use a quantitative method. Each study must have been published in a peer-reviewed journal. Perform the following with each study:

• Identify the research problem.
• Summarize the basis for the problem.
• Evaluate the clarity and completeness of how the problem was described.
• Explain how the problem was addressed through designing and conducting a research study.

Format your evaluation consistent with APA guidelines.

Ethics in Research

Review the Three Cases of Ethical Controversy presented on pg. 147 in the Neuman (2011) text.

Prepare a 12 – 15 slide Microsoft^® PowerPoint^® presentation summarizing the ethical issues that arose in these studies.

In addition, provide an outline of how you would address the following issues in your own study:

• Ethical issues related to the research process
• Ethical issues related to the potential participants
• Ethical issues related to the research site
• Ethical issues related to data collection and data storage
• Ethical issues related to data analyses

Include detailed speaker notes for each slide.

Format your presentation consistent with APA guidelines.
